It is our recommendation that the Chromebook be added to your homeowners/renters insurance in case it is lost/stolen/damaged. Lost/Stolen If a student loses the Chromebook, the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $165.00. If the Chromebook is stolen, the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $165.00. If a student loses or damages their AC adapter, the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $20.00. If a student loses or damages the work-in Chromebook case the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $30.00. Damaged If a student damages a Chromebook, and it can be repaired the parent/guardian will be charged the cost of the repair. I.e. screen $60.00...keyboard $35.00...per key $6.00... If a student damages a Chromebook, and it CAN NOT be repaired the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $165.00. Return If a Chromebook is not returned and/or is not in the condition it was originally received, the parent/guardian will be charged a replacement fee of $165.00. If a Chromebook is not returned or replacement fee has not been paid, students will not receive his/her transcript/diploma.
