U Prep Schools’ human resources department is responsible for many aspects of employee support and staff compliance. The HR team manages onboarding new staff, processes payroll, submits staff compliance reports, and monitor the schools’ compliance with teacher certification laws and other Michigan Department of Education guidelines. The HR department is responsible for tracking staff attendance for all employees, manages the substitute program, and helps plan maternity leave and other long-term leave. HR also offers general personnel support services, maintains employee files, and coordinates with Axios Incorporated, U Prep Schools’ co-employer which provides support with various HR services including management and oversight of all benefits plans.
